Draft Controlled Customer Equipment Guidelines
NICTA today formally announces the release for Public Consultation the Draft Controlled Customer Equipment in accordance with section 229 of the NICT Act 2009.
The Instrument is developed under section PART X of the Act provides regulatory guidelines and requirements for the industry to comply with when importing, supplying, selling, installing and/or operating a Controlled Customer Equipment (CCE) with the main aim of protecting the integrity of the licensed operator network/facilities and the health and safety of the users of the equipment.
The public consultation process will be conducted over a period of six (6) weeks, commencing from the release of the instrument on June 30th, 2021.
Copies of the instruments can be obtained from the NICTA Head Office located at Section 43, Lot 19 & 20, Frangipani Street, Hohola, Port Moresby or downloaded from the NICTA Public Register at www.nicta.gov.pg, or requested through emailing erpconsultation@nicta.gov.pg
NICTA invites stakeholders and interested parties to consider and comment on the consultation instruments. All written submissions should be submitted to: the NICTA Head Office or emailed to erpconsultation@nicta.gov.pg and must be received by noon on Friday August 6th, 2021.
