NICTA is currently engaged in public consultation on the Draft National Broadband Policy as required by Section 229 of the National ICT Act 2009 (“the Act”).
The Draft was released on 25th of April 2013 on our website and the deadline for written submissions was set at May 17th 2013.
NICTA in considering the importance of the document and the need for wider representation of submissions on the Draft has decided to extend the deadline for written submissions to the end of May 2013.
The new deadline is now close of business on 31 May 2013.
The Draft of the policy is still available on the NICTA website at www.nicta.gov.pg and at the NICTA Head Office at the corner of Frangipani Street and Croton Street, Hohola, NCD. Written submissions should be addressed to: kgulovui@nicta.gov.pg or Director Economics, Consumer and International Affairs, P O Box 8444, Boroko 111, NCD, facsimile: 300 4829.
NICTA will upload comments it receives and the final instrument in its Public Register on its website. Respondents can request for particular aspects of their submission to remain confidential as prescribed under Section 44 of the Act.
