(D) CABLING LICENCE
A Cabling License is a formal authorization issued by a national regulator. This license legally permits a technician or company to install, maintain, or repair cabling that connects to the public telecommunications network.
The primary goal is network integrity—ensuring that private installations don’t interfere with the broader infrastructure or compromise public safety.
E. TYPE APPROVAL (Equipment Type Approval)
ICT Equipment Type Approval is a mandatory regulatory process that ensures all Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Radio-communication equipment meets specific technical, safety, and quality standards before it can be imported, sold, or used within the country.
This process involves the verification of equipment—such as mobile phones, wireless routers, and satellite receivers—against international and local standards to ensure they are compatible with public networks and safe for public use.
